In accordance with the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Physical Education and Sports”, the Deaflympics Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan was established on October 13, 2023, with the aim of developing physical education and sports among hearing-impairing people of the country and ensuring their mass integration into the social life through sport.
The Committee aims to ensure the mass involvement of them in sports and physical education; and to ensure that our hearing-impairing athletes successfully represent Azerbaijan at the Deaflympics Games and other international arenas.
In order to ensure development in this area, the Deaflympics Committee is contributing to the wider development of the Deaflympics movement by establishing cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan, national sports federations and other relevant public organizations.
